Kate Cunningham

Scottish artist and Wild at Art tutor Kate CunninghamAbout me

I graduated with a BA Honours Degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2014. Since then I’ve worked as a freelance artist and private tutor from my studio whilst also working part time in local gallery Eduardo Alessandro Studios.

Using mainly oil paints on board and canvas I capture the changing skies and landscapes of Scotland. Most recently I was commissioned by Gordon and Macphail to complete a cloud painting in conjunction with the release of a 75 year old bottling of Mortlach Single Malt Whisky. The painting was published in a book named ‘Seven Nights with Mortlach’ that was sold with the whisky and the canvas itself was displayed in the Royal Opera House in London for the special release. Now the painting hangs proudly in the Gordon and Macphail offices in Elgin.

I exhibit in galleries across Scotland and my work is included in many private collections.

Kate is the lead tutor for our art retreat in Angus on the North East Coast of Scotland 3 – 10 April 2020.
