Creative Experiences in Scotland
Summer 2021 update: Manna and her husband Paul have left Scotland to live in Hungary. So, sadly, she won’t be available as tutor for our Scottish art holidays anymore. But I’ll be happy to forward any enquiries about her work to her. 馃檪 – just drop me a line.
I’m originally from Hungary, where I graduated in Art and Mathematics at Szeged, but have lived and taught in Scotland for over 30 years. As a teacher artist I’m passionate about bringing my students to the point of seeing not just with their eyes but also with their soul. I’ve taught people of all ages – ranging from primary school age to over 90-year olds – and get a lot of joy from the sharing of discovery along their artistic journeys.
In my day job I teach kids of teenage age at a local high school. My mantra also applies to tutoring adults: I want to teach them to see so intently, so precisely that they learn seeing beyond the surface, get to understand the glorious unity of the visible and invisible world, be able to acknowledge and celebrate reality, the Living God…. To save them from the imitation world.
Although my own work is mainly mixed media painting, I have a huge passion for drawing. I equally feel at home in life and landscape painting, as long as it has a sense of movement.
