Creative Experiences in Scotland
I am an artist living and working near the small seaside village of Portmahomack, on the
northeast coast in the Highlands of Scotland. I studied Drawing & Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, where I was given the chance to explore and experiment with many materials and techniques.
I primarily work in watercolour, but often incorporate many different materials, including found objects, often found on the beach, into my paintings. I love the outdoors. I was brought up on the Isle of Skye and because of this landscape, natural form and wildlife have always been important in my work.

I love guddling in rock pools, reading stories with my kids and playing fetch with our cat.
When you are doing watercolour painting you have to work fast, with good timing, but also be patient. My approach to my work work is very much trying to do that. I think I have achieved the charging at full speed part, but I’m still working on the patience.
