Quick trip to Mull yesterday...as always Calgary Bay was stunning. Too windy for a swim though...

Spent the afternoon experimenting with cyanotypes....some on wet and some on dry paper...some exposed to autumn light at porch window, some under UV lamp...the wet, messier ones using natural light are still my favourite...

If you're able to access BBC iPlayer you may want to check out the first episode in the new series of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. Two guys chatting about fishing might not be everybody's kind of thing, but the episode was filmed in the stunning sceneries of the Outer Hebrides. Watching the short episode gives a good sense of the elemental nature experience the islands offer. And the best thing is - about 2/3 into the programme the guys visit Wild at Art tutor Ellis O'Connor to try their hand at painting!

In September we ran our first painting cruise and it was a success. The next art cruise - Hebriden Wildscapes with the fabulous @ellisoconnor - will take place 2-8 September 2022. Single cabins are already booked up but we still have spaces in cabins for 2 guests sharing. Link in bio

I finally got round to creating a photo gallery for the painting and wildlife cruise of Skye and the Small Isles. Led by artist Nicky Sanderson and looked after by the boat crew, our group explored these wonderful locations with their sketchbooks and paints. Our guests are having absolute dream weather for their painting and wildlife cruise with artist @nicky_sanderson and the crew on board the MV Monadhliath (pronounced like Mona Lisa without the s). Wish I could have sailed with them! Next time 😊
